Since I have time before going out for souvenir shopping, I shall summarize the 19 days spent here!
The time difference is a 1 hour lag from Singapore time.

Day 1: Arrival and a room nicer than the one back home.

Day 2: Meet/Greet session with Duy Tan University's president, tour of school and stocking up on snacks and necessities.

Day 3-5: Language lesson, student interaction and visit to Centre for Street Children and Orphans.

Day 6-7: Free and Easy

Day 6: Han Market, Cham Museum, Big C, beach.

Some local students kindly took us around, and we went to the Han Market and the Cham Museum. Thereafter, we went to the supermarket and the beach on our own.

Had this glutinous rice breakfast for a change. Interestingly, the rice does not have oil, and no matter which topping you choose, it's all 10 000 VND!

Day 7: Night cycling along Han River

Woke up late, and due to the strong sun, we willingly stayed in the room till evening. Then we went out along the Han River to rent bicycles.

Can't remember which day I saw him, but he's cute, so that's the point. :)

I learnt that the Vietnamese seldom eat out, and it's rare for them to eat even in the school canteen. Also, they seldom go to the supermarket. Perhaps a weekly or monthly event? So the students were quite surprised when they learnt that we were going to the supermarket again.

Cultural difference I guess. Back home, going to the supermarket's like... drinking water lidat.
Anddd, initially, I wasn't used to the way the traffic goes, so I kinda just checked 360 degrees around me before crossing the road. Now, expert already! Can cross the road safely! Plus plus, I learnt that motorcyclists usually go around you even if you're in the middle of the road!

Here in Vietnam, the bigger your vehicle, the more power you have on the road! Imagine a construction vehicle crushing your car if you don't bow to it, and move out of the way! :S
